Providing Live School Equipment
The Bible College
Lauren’s Lighthouse Bible College was founded in 2015 to facilitate taking the Gospel to unreached areas of the Central Region in Ghana.
In 2015, Scott and Alicia came across a church-planting curriculum called Live School, a grassroots model for starting churches in developing countries. Lauren’s Lighthouse Bible College uses this model to disciple and train men and women for church-planting in unreached areas. All that is needed is a television and digital curriculum. As of September 2023, Pastor Godly was asked to lead the Live School efforts throughout Ghana, so we expect great expansion of the work in the years to come. Currently, we have Bible Schools in the Central, Volta, Eastern, and Ashanti regions.
We have heard numerous testimonies from graduates and current students about how their lives have been changed through the Bible College. The curriculum addresses character development and attitude at the very beginning, as these are the basis of spiritual transformation. Students are then taught how to successfully plant churches in new areas. The maturing process and the teachings of the Live School curriculum lead to growth in sharing the Gospel through love, integrity, evangelism and service.
Combined, the LLT network of Bible schools has graduated almost 1000 men and women over the last 7 years. Graduates are planting churches all over southern Ghana and Togo. Last year in Togo, over 25 people made the decision to follow Christ and were baptized in one weekend. Togo pastors recently partnered with US missionaries in Sierra Leone to visit 29 churches and lead thousands to Christ.
We also know of graduates who have planted churches in Ukraine and Canada. We praise the Lord for His goodness!
